“COUNTER CULTURE AT THE BOULEVARD TENNIS CLUB” is the creation of an accomplished management and development team with extensive growth experience. It is a chef-driven concept featuring nationally-recognized professionals in the culinary and hospitality industries. The management and development team is comprised of entrepreneurial professionals with experience in business and every aspect of the food and entertainment industry. Together they have created and operated 16  successful restaurants and entertainment concepts in the past two decades and bring over 70 years of culinary arts experience.

Anthony B Damiano, CMC Founder and Chef Owner

Anthony Damiano has enjoyed a successful career in the hospitality industry, apprenticeship at Maxims in Paris, Executive Sous Chef The Hotel Pierre, American Express Corporate Dining as Executive Chef and Assistant Vice President of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef The Russian Tea Room where he was advised by Jacques Pepin, Restaurateur and Cookbook Author, Damiano’s at the Tarrimore House, a four-star restaurant situated in a beautifully restored home located in the heart of the historic district in Delray Beach, Florida. Damiano has made his mark on the Florida culinary scene with a distinctive “Florasian” style of cooking, which he traces back to the time spent in San Francisco with Barbara Tropp in her restaurant China Moon. This style fused his passion for Oriental flavors and techniques with Florida’s bountiful seafood and tropical produce.

In 1999 he took over the reins of the kitchen at Mar A Lago for Donald Trump, Le Cordon Bleu, Chef De Cuisine, he was a participant “Rising Star Chef” at the prestigious Masters of Food & Wine event in Carmel, California. Damiano has also been showcased as presenting chef at the James Beard House in New York three times. During his tenure at the Tarrimore House and throughout his career he has received numerous accolades and national press coverage including: Bon Appetite Magazine, Gourmet Magazine Zagat Survey Best New Restaurant in America 1994 and TV Food Network where he has appeared on TV Diners, Unwrapped, Ready Set Cook, The Best of Food and Wine. He was inducted into the World Master Chef Society in 2006. Then Counter Culture Vero 2015  a Chef-made Local and Natural Menu was created.

Lisa Kay Damiano Pastry Co-Founder and Chef Owner

Lisa Kay Damiano is an accomplished pastry chef with a repertoire of spectacular desserts, designed to complement a culturally diverse menu. After attending the Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute, Lisa began her career in the hospitality industry in a series of training and management positions. She transitioned into the kitchen while in New York City, where she was assistant to Anthony Damiano then Executive Chef at Shearson Lehman Brothers.  Lisa further developed her skills at Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School where she studied with Master Pastry Chef Nicholas Malgieri. Lisa joined Anthony at the Russian Tea Room as Assistant Pastry Chef. At the Russian Tea Room, she worked closely with consulting Chef Jacques Pepin to align the dessert menu into the more healthful eating styles of the 80s.

Lisa pioneered techniques of reducing the fat and sugar content without sacrificing the luscious flavors and textures. She has perfected these methods and is a signature component of her baking today. She co-authored the Tarrimore House Cook Book,and has appeared on Food Network. She was Pastry Chef Instructor for Le Cordon Bleu, Pastry Chef at the Hilton in Santa Fe and Pastry Chef at the Rio Verde Country Club and Windsor Luxury Resort in Vero Beach. Lisa won “Vero's Top Chef Challenge”  for the dessert part of competition...2016 to benefit “Food Families Vero Beach”.
